Daily intake of green tea lowers the risk of functional disability in older people says a report published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Nearly 14,000 men and women were studied in Japan. Green, oolong and black tea consumption was compared. Those who drank two cups of green tea per day were 10% less likely to become disabled than those who drank less than two cups of green tea a day. Five cups of green tea per day caused a 33% lower risk of disability.Those drinking the most green tea had a much lower incidence of cognitive inpairment, stroke and even osteoporosis.

As we age we often become forgetful and have memory lapses called senior moments. Memory lapses can also be a prelude to the dreaded Alzheimer's Disease.
